We again have excellent guest lecturers on this cruise.
One
is Naturalist/Geologist Randy Ashley. We spoke on the
volcanic
history of Hawaii yesterday. He will speak again today as
will
Walter Scott who worked at Johnson Space Center who will
speak today on the Space Shuttle.
But this cruise is much different in other ways. There
are lots
of children. There are more first time Princess cruisers and
less
elite travelers. When we left the dining room last night
around
6:30, there were people waiting at both restaurants. I
wonder
what it was like at the buffet. Must have been slow. Last
cruise
I don’t remember ever seeing people waiting at dining
room when
we left, usually between 6:30 and 7:00.
Another thing different is better internet access.
We saw and talked to the captain two times yesterday,
once near
Explorer’s Lounge and later in the dining room. I still
haven’t seen
Louis (his 3 year old). That’s the problem with a big ship.

Interesting comparison...glad to hear that you are hearing interesting lecturers and better internet access!
