Today we had a half day tour of Puerto Montt, Puerto
Varas
(city of roses) which lived up to its name and
Fruitillar, a
summer resort settled by Germans & containing lots of
buildings
that looked like they belonged in the Alps.
We saw one of Chili’s
many lakes and hoped to see the Orsorno
volcano but weather didn’t cooperate.
We visited the museum of Frutillar which was a lot of
houses
furnished in what looked like early 20th
century.
