Buenos Aires

We did go ashore today but the hop on hop off bus was not a
good option. We hooked up with 2 couples from Australia and
hired a taxi for four hours. We had a really good tour of the city
with a delightful young man. He took us to a lot of well known sites.
Although he didn’t speak English, we managed very well.

We stopped at Caminito and La Boca, interesting, colorful places.
We then went to Plaza de Mayo surrounded by Cathedral, Casa Rosada
and other government buildings.  We went to Recoleta cemetery where
Evita Peron is buried. It has many huge crypts. We stopped at United
Nations Square which had huge monument shaped like lotus or tulip
when open during day. It closes up at night.

Driving into the terminal we saw tractors with and without trailers
waiting for their number to be called to load or unload cargo.
